RaspberryPi failing to feed

$

Hello! I decided to put my Raspberry pi to a good use, but I run into problems. The feeding software outputs "No supported RTLSDR devices found" after installation, and after rebooting it outputs just "Connection terminated".
If I head over to raspiIP:8754 it states that receiver is dvbt and is connected. Yet I can't track any planes.
I reinstalled the software many times always with the same result. I can visually see the planes, but my raspberry pi doesn't. My antenna position isn't the best solution, I have it outside of my window, but it should still have at least some coverage.
I tried to tune into TV on my Windows machine with the tuner and it worked.

Few lines about HW that I'm using:
Raspberry Pi 2 model B
USB DVB-T Evolve Mars ( lsusb shows the device as a "Bus 001 Device 004: ID 187f:0202 Siano Mobile Silicon Nice" )

Picture one - 4 Windows, First show that receiver is connected, second show's my settings, third is the log from instalation and fourth how "sudo fr24feed start" looks like.
Screenshot 2017-02-26 01.50.54.jpg
I'm not sure the image will be downsized, so this a direct link to my reupload (forum won't let me post links) "flightradar24.team-grimmie.eu/Screenshot%202017-02-26%2001.50.54.png"

Picture two - log file after raspi reboot, it does not show "No supported RTLSDR devices found." anymore, so I guess that is a step forward?.
Screenshot 2017-02-26 02.13.26.jpg
Again, reupload "flightradar24.team-grimmie.eu/Screenshot%202017-02-26%2002.13.26.png"

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance

My new receiver (rasppi) will not go online

Hello,
I´m new to feeding data and have just build my first receiver with a Raspberry Pi 2 and DVB-T USB stick (the black one that most seems to be using) including the small antenna that came with the DVB-T. It is powered by a 2 amp power supply (ipad charger). I have also built a larger 12 segment colinear antenna which will be fitted to the roof of my house but I want to see that everything is working before I start using it.

I have been following the simple guide and activated the receiver on the flightradar 24 webpage. Now my issues start.
When looking at my receiver under my account it is shown as Offline but at the same time available and uptime 100%?? It is however not recording any traffic. See screenshot.T-ESSU3 Statistics.JPG

I have been doing some testing based on posts in this forum and various installation guides. I have for example tested to stop and start command for the fr24feed and looking at the status. See attached.Start stop and status.JPG It seems to be running.
What am I missing? Could it be as simple as I don’t have enough reception indoor with the small antenna, does it have to record traffic to show up as “Online”?

Thanks
Jonas

Hi

I would like to know if to move "Fr24feed" from one comp. to another one, moving the Fr24feed folder is enough.
If not, what to do?

Thanks in advance,
Regards

Hello.

My main contribution here is posting the hex codes for the new Boeing's flying at Seattle and Charleston. The Chinese ones are often quite late in receiving their registration allocations so while the frame details and airline can all be tied up to a hex code, the registration field is missing until it is known. I posted some details last week of a new Xiamen Air on hex 781114 which was added to the database and showed up when it made a few test flights will all the fields populated except the reg which was "n/a". I was able to find out the registration yesterday and posted it here. It has been added and now shows under this link https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/b-7816 but what has happened to all the earlier test flights it made as they are not showing in the list? If the old flights are not going to populate once the registration is known, then I see no point posting the tie-ups sans registration in advance and it would be better just to leave the viewers guessing. Is this expected behaviour or a glitch of some sort? Can anything be done to fix it?

In some cases where the registration cannot be sourced before it leaves on delivery you would not be able to track the plane on its flight to its home base as there is no apparent way to search by hex code or msn. I see this as a bit of a flaw in the system but perhaps there are some technical reasons why it's not possible to add a registration to an old flight and have it appear in the flight history for that reg?

Thanks.

Radar antenna for distance measurement

I am working on a project where we have decided to use radar to measure the distance of an object from the device.

I have been using Infineon's BGT24MTR11 (24GHz) evaluation board, (Sense2go), which comes with an integrated patch antenna already onboard.
It will detect movement approximately 5m from the board.

However, we need to accurately measure the distance of objects approximately 100m from the transmitter and have a required detection radius of 10°.

There are issues around 24GHz, (temporary band, astronomy stations, etc.), so we may actually move to 77GHz or 79GHz but for the moment I am sticking with 24GHz.

Good evening.

I am new here in the forum, my name is Marius, I am 17 years old and come from Germany.
Today my DVB T antenna has come and I have installed this on my Raspberrypi.
I can select the received data by Dump1090. And the range is pretty good.
Meanwhile I have installed the fr24feeder, and have answered the questions of the programme.
Does somebody know about you how long it lasts, until the business subscription becomes free switched?

Best Regards
Marius

Feeding data with Raspberry Pi

Hello,

I have a Rasperry Pi and I do nothing with it, so I think I can help Flightradar24, by feeding data.
I have a few questions about Flightradar :
- I am going to buy this antenna : (media-tech.eu/products/dvb-t-stick/MT4171) Will that work?

- It is possible to know where are placed the other antennas ?

- If I send data to other websites, do I need a speed internet connection ?

Thanks :D

Franklin-Spider Antenna (for advanced users)

SIMULATION RESULTS
Gain = 3.7 dBi
SWR = 3.1
Impedance = 155 - j 8.18 ohms
HIGH IMPEDANCE/SWR - WILL NOT GIVE GOOD RESULTS WITHOUT IMPEDANCE MATCHING

IMPEDANCE MATCHING BY "TRANSMISSION LINE+CAPACITOR" TECHNIQUE
Using Smith Chart:
Capacitor to be inserted = 3.8 pF (4 pF will do)
Coax length (from antenna) where Capacitor should be inserted = n x λ/2 + 80.8mm Coax of VF=0.85,
where n is any integer.

ACTUAL IMPLEMENTATION
Note: Unfortunately I have miss-calibrated my antenna analyzer using a 75 ohm resistor. Now it is not resetting to factory calibration of 50 ohms. I have ordered a 50 ohm dummy load resistor. Waiting for deliery to re-calibrate the Analyzer with 50 ohms load. I therefore could not actually do the impedance matching. Following only show the steps I will do when my Analyzer is re-calibrated.

Hi

I don't know if this is the right place to put my question but ... :o

I'm doing some experiments with antennas and locations but, to compare results, I need some kind of software to analyze the signal provided to the dongle.
What to use for those purposes?
Thanks in advance

Hello. Scanning around the Gibraltar area, I came across this aircraft Angel26, a helicopter flying a nightime track in the area
East of Gibralter. Please see attached. I wonder if this is a regular flight in that area? Hope I have this posted in the right forum,
if not please let me know and I will move it to the correct one.
Thanks.

Unable to find flights if they are not live or scheduled of the next week

I just registered with flightdadar24 today for a business account, and I am currently evaluating my subscription.
Unfortunately, I am having a problem finding historical data of flights, if they are not currently in service (like seasonal flights).
I believe that the data are there, because previously, around the season when the flights actually happened I had seem them as a guest.
I believe this is a problem with the search engine, which only searches only through current and scheduled flights, and only then presents the history of those flights.
Some of the flights I'm searching for are already scheduled for the next season, with the same flight number, but it is too soon for flightradar24 to display them, I guess.

Is there a way I should look for those flights so I can retrieve the data?
Examples of the flights I'm talking about:
PC4846 (ARN-SAW)
PC4845 (SAW-ARN)
FR1674 (NYO-SKG)
FR1675 (SKG-NYO)
FR1113 (SKG-ATH)

Flightradar24 on Android TV

I'm thinking about buying a Xiaomi Mi Box 3; mainly because of Kodi, build-in Chromecast and Android TV.
It would be really cool to view FR24 on the TV.

I recently read FR24 supports Chromecast; since I don't have any Chromecast devices; I don't know how it exactly works and looks; but based on what I've found online it a bit basic.

So my question is; will FR24 support Android TV?
