Statistics Page

Hi everybody

Have You ever checked the Statistic Page, or du You just believe on the results? Some times ago I got the opportunity to collect data from different pages, and I can now tell You, that it is total wrong.

I am not able to check the avg. range, but the max range of the last 30 dayes is wrong.

Take a look of this:

ScreenShot623.jpg

Although the support for 1 month ago said:

"We are going to have to look in to the stats page to see what's causing these issues that you have highlighted. And yes, there are some issues there that we are going to straighten out.

There are a few proposals for that and we will see how to proceed with those. We might even change the entire calculation formula but still nothing is confirmed.

Small issue with "Animate aircraft"

Hi,

When I disable "Animate aircraft" it comes back on again after a while. The switch is still "off", but after a while the aircrafts become animated again. I have to change the switch to "on" and "off" again, to disable animation.
I've tried it with two browsers (firefox and chrome), so i think the error is not between screen and chair.

Kind regards and happy holidays

Can't see any aircraft anymore?

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong area to post in. Please move it to the correct area if needed.

Basically the power cable for the Raspberry Pi was accidentally pulled out. Plugged it back in and the Pi came back online without any problems. But ever since no planes are showing up on the dump1090 map and FlightRadar24 thinks its offline.

I've ran the following commands:

sudo service dump1090-mutability status
sudo service fr24feed status

Both say they are active. I've tried restarting the said services and the Pi itself again for good measure but no look. Can anyone shed any light on this and what log files I could look at to see where the problem is?

I have contacted FR24 and being told to try a few different ports without luck.Has anyone experienced similar problem maybe?

Port monitoring

Team... I'm running latest PI image on my two Raspberry Pi's. There is a memory leak issue from my Wifi driver (long story.. won't bore you...) which I think is causing dump1090 to fall over.

I'd like to set up a port monitor, unfortunately I'm useless with BASH... am I going about this the right way? This isn't the actual code obviously, but I'm hoping someone with a bit of knowledge can help me out... 8082 is my http port for dump1090.

Code:

if netstat -an | grep "8082" = null; then
    echo "$date : Port not up - rebooting." >> /var/log/portmon.log
    sudo reboot now

Changed antenna, zero aircraft tracked...

Hi to all,
this is my first post so nice to meet you.
I'm asking help because something strange is happening with my new coaxial antenna...
I've a raspberry 3 (maybe 2b I don't remember) with R820T dongle... whit default antenna that came with dongle all it's working fine, more ore less 60 nm of bearing.
I've built a collinear antenna with coaxial cable (12 segments), the antenna is ok, no short circuits, but.... when I attach the new antenna to the dongle the FR24 Feeder Status page drops to ZERO aircraft.
The weid thing is that if i connect the dongle to my Samsung smartphone and I run AVARE ADSB app I can see a lot of aircrafts ! The message rate showed on AVARE is more or less 12 message per second...
So, if I connect the dongle to Raspberry.. zero aircraft... if I connect same dongle with same antenna to smartphone a lot of traffic on AVARE ADSB.... why ?

my configuration :
  • raspberry with FR24 software
  • R820t dongle with usb extender cable of 1mt
  • mcx to BNC pigtail cable
  • BNC to F cable to the roof (2 mt of cable)
  • F-female to F-female adapter
  • Collinear coaxial antenna made of 12 segments terminated with F-male connector.
  • Cable used : SAT 703B 75Ohm loss : 1000Mhz : 18,50Db/100m
  • Pole installed on the top of the building, 1mt of space from TV Antenna at the same height

I've checked all the cables, no short circuits at all, all the solders are ok.
Can you help me please ?
Thanks to all !

How to use RTL1090+FR24feed+Planeplotter simultaneously

$

Hello,
What I'm trying to do is using RTL1090.exe to control DVB-T stick. Let RTL1090 decode data then send to FR24_feed & Planeplotter.
When using old version FR24_feed, everything is OK.
Planeplotter use port 31001. FR24_feed use port 30003.
old config.jpg
However, after upgrading FR24_feed to latest version, here comes a conflict.
As described in help manual, when using RTL1090 feed data to FR24_feed, data should be AVR format.
help.PNG
New setting is:
new config.jpg
With this configuration, the scenario of RTL1090+Planeplotter could work well. The scenario of RtL1090+FR24_feed could also work well.
But, if starting RTL1090+Planeplotter+FR24_feed in sequence, only FR24_feed could receive data from RTL1090. Planeplotter's "Received off-air message rate" will drop to 0 immediately after FR24_feed is launched.
If sequence change to RTL1090+FR24_feed+Planeplotter, Planeplotter could work normally. FR24_feed will lose data feeding and turn to ping 1 ping 2 ping 3...
Seems like both Planeplotter & FR24_feed are connected to RTL1090 via port 31001, but only one of them could receive data.
port.PNG
Based on my understanding, these two application should only receive data from port 31001, not trying to control RTL1090 through it. So these two service should be able to exist simultaneously. Just like multiple clients could communicate with website's server port 80.

Did I set something wrong?
Any idea from you experts?

Many thanks.

Please help me setup my fr24feeder to work with adsbScope.

Greetings to all,
I'm a new feeder to fr24 (but not new to ads-b equipment, radio and such) and I wanted to have adsbScope open while running the feeder program. (i'm using windows by the way)
I followed the instructions written in the manual and I still can't get adsbScope to connect via tcp to the feeder.
I already changed the host/ip to localhost:30002 to make the receiver type to avr/tcp as I'm using a dvbt dongle, I disabled the RAW data (30002 and 30334) and I added the --net command line to the process arguments section in the config of the fr24 software. I also placed 30002 (and tried 30334) in the adsbScope network setup, but still it won't connect. I only get this "*4637433642313400000000000000;" in the raw data listing in adsbscope and nothing else. Has anybody tried using adsbScope side by side with the feeder software provided by fr24? Thanks for any help and have a Happy New Year everybody!

Unable to re-start FR24 feed - others okay

My FR24 feed stopped working around midnight (local) a few days ago. Interestingly, the FA & ADSB Exchange feeds continue to function. Multiple power-cycles has not worked to re-initiate the FR24 feed.

Installed on: Pi3b
Installations in this order: FA / ADSB Exchange / FR24

I can't SSH into the device as I seem to have forgotten the password, so I'll likely have to do a direct connect. I'm still a noob with Linux so I'm plugging along slowly. I'm wondering what I should do the 'kick-start' FR24? Will I have to do a re-installation?

thanks

Morning all,

Just after a bit of help I used to have my Nooelec R820T2 set up and working great but them I ran into a few problems and I kept getting a terminating error anyway I've installed everything and started again but I'm not sure whats happening now it seems to start ok and I've checked the app and it looks like the datas being received but then I've started getting "syncing stream result: 1 ping 1,2....." and I'm guessing this isn't a good thing as the status is shown offline. I'm using the feed on Windows 10. Any help would be great this is the log... if I need to supply more info let me know cheers

I choose a single flight to follow and by default, the map stays still and the airplane moves. If I refresh the window with that flight selected, the airplane stays still and the map moves underneath it. I have not found a way to go back to the default setting. Is there a better way to be doing this?

Add filters in the URL ?

Hi everybody,

I have a gold profile and i would like display the trafic map view from the website for only 2 airlines companies by adding 2 filters (on her callsign). But i want make it using only an URL, without clicking on your menus.
Because i want to display the map during few seconds every 15 minutes on a big information screen .

So, the filters (and others options) could be added and applied using static parameters in the URL (GET or POST) ?

Many thanks !

And happy new year!

Feeding with SBS-1

Hi all
I have been feeding using a SBS-1 since almost day 1 of FR. Last week I had to factory reset my computer so now have to download settings etc. Unfortunately everything I try wont work and I cant get the feed to work. Combination of basestation settings and ports required. By the way I also feed on Virtual Radar to a local group, and that feed is working fine
Does anyone else use a SBS-1 to feed and would you be able to copy the settings on to this thread
Thanks in advance
