Hello all,
I am hoping that someone can explain what I just had happen.
A friend of mine owns a fixed wing medevac company and I have his 4 aircraft plugged into "My FlightAware" so I get email notice when any of them file a flight plan, depart or arrive.
So i get the notice that on of these aircraft is about to depart KNUQ for KBFI and I decide to see if I can track it on FlightRadar. I put the N number into the search box and get the expected result with the "Live - In Coverage Now" indicator. However when I choose that option, it seems to think about it for a few seconds and then the search results reappear. Choosing the option again yields the same results: Ultimately no track.
I was eventually able to find the flight but only after filtering to inbound KBFI. And even then, it showed only LJ35 as an identifier with no other info.
FlightAware, on the other hand, showed complete info including the Origin/destination, FL and speed, Even the fact that it was a "Lifeguard" flight.
Now, I am assuming (and perhaps I this is where I am getting it wrong) that FR is using the same FAA data as FA? If so, should not FR show at least the same info as FA? Why just "LJ35?"
