BA are not having much luck recently.
On 24th August, G-CIVI returned to Heathrow shortly after take off for Los Angeles.
On 28th August, the same aircraft had to abandon a flight from Heathrow to Beijing and divert to Irkutsk with "overheating avionics".
And now, today's flight from Heathrow to Budapest, BA866, left Heathrow at 09:09, got as far as Rickmansworth at 5,000 ft and squawked 7700.
The aircraft returned to Heathrow, landing at 09:29.
I wonder if they have search parties out looking for engine cowlings again?
