Badgeries Creek Airport- will it go ahead?

There has been much debate for decades now on the future of a second Sydney airport. Will a new Federal Government finally influence this decision? Will it be built at Badgeries Creek? If so, when?

Perhaps a subject for some debate/discussion as one of the reasons I'm prompted to post this is that as I write aircraft on arrival into SYD are being forced to hold for up to 40 minutes due to strong westerly winds limiting the use of the twin runways. Most take offs and landings are via Rwy25 unless Rwy34L is operationally required.
