JETSTAR'S new Boeing 787 Dreamliner has departed on its inaugural Melbourne to Denpasar flight.
Wednesday's launch makes Jetstar the first scheduled 787 operator into Indonesia.
Jetstar also announced on Wednesday that the 787 will begin flights between Brisbane and Bali from April 16, 2014, and that the aircraft will service the Sydney to Bali route in January and the Sydney to Phuket route in February.
The airline expects to have four 787s operating on international routes by April 2014.
