I'm interesting in running an ADS-B receiver, but I don't want to dumb a lot of money into it. Plus, I'm not in a vital region (About 40km NW of KATL) so it wouldn't be all that useful I wouldn't think.
That being said, I don't mind the sub-$40 USB sticks (cheaper the better). My question is, does it absolutely have to be running on Windows? I much prefer running Mac OS X, and have plenty of dedicated computers. I know I can run Parallels (I'm very well versed in VM's) but I'd prefer a native OS X app. Alternatively I suppose I could dedicate an old Windows laptop to the project.
So, that all being said, are any of the USB sticks readily available on Amazon, how about the antenna? (Specially with Prime)
