feeder software error message

I am new to flight radar 24.

I am using an RTL 1090 to feed data and I am registered.

The feeder software window has a line "base station:" and this shows "ERROR (waiting 5 secs)" and then alternates with "connecting to local host:30003"

The feeder software icon in the task bar shows the green upload arrow alternating bright dark so I am unsure if I am feeding data or not.

Clarification would be appreciated.
