Hi everyone,
as an avid planespotter I appreciate the fantastic service of FR24 on a daily basis. Thank you very much!
One possible feature request:
Quite often we take pictures of special flights which we first see on FR24, but since they don't follow a repetitive flightplan, show no destination and most importantly, no ETA (because FR24 doesn't know where they're going).
My idea was that users are given a way to input any airport as a destination for that flight, and FR24 then calculates the ETA at that airport. Of course, that destination airport is not saved - it's just used as a superficial calculation tool for that single user.
I guess the needed functionality already exists in the background because all the known ETAs are calculated. So it's only the question of creating a user access to that calculation, allowing users to input random destinations at their choice.
For example, flight X ist over Turkey, westbound.
If the user enters VIE, FR24 would show how long it takes the flight to get to Vienna (say 2h00). If the user enters ZRH, it will display the time it would touch down at Zurich (2h30).
If a time calculation is not possible, you could at least add the functionality of showing how far (distance) a flight is away from a certain user-input point/airport, so one can calculate the ETA by hand.
Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Tis
