Air Canada 7176: HKG - SIN?

Hi everyone,

I was tracking Air Canada's C-FNNQ (B77W) and I noticed that it deviated from its traditional YVR-HKG route and made a flight from HKG-SIN (AC 7176). Can anyone explain why an AC flight departed HKG for SIN, and still hasn't returned yet? Is this testing a new route from YVR to SIN with a stop in HKG?
