Radar Codes

$

Hi

Is there an explanation about Radar Codes on the web page? XXXX is nearest airport code of the feeder and yy a number. But what is T, N or F?

T-XXXXyy
N-XXXXyy
F-XXXXyy

And this strange code?
RX-RC00e

And what does
T-MLAT7 means - the number 7?

Thanks and regards

Hi

Posted a question about 2 hours ago in "Flightradar24 (web page and apps)" - title was: Is my feed used?. It was stored and displayed. But now it is lost.

What is wrong? I didn't find a other post with this question.

Thanks.

Hi

As far as I can see the airport Sion (Switzerland) SIR/LSGS is not marked in the web view.

Would it be possible to add it?

Thanks.

Hi,

In the web-version you can click on the aircrafts registration to see previous flights for that specific aircraft. Im just wondering if that function is on its way to the app-versions aswell? It would be a nice feature for an otherwise awesome app :)

Thanks in advance!

New feature : select multiple aircrafts ?

Hi this is my first post, I havent been on an aircraft forum for a few years now.

On the afternoon of Tuesday 21-7-2015 I saw a Boeing 747 over southern Hampshire UK heading in a westerly direction,
I checked my mobile Flight 24 app and saw that it was a privately owned aircraft on its approach to Bournemouth (BOH)
but I forgot to log any other information, can anybody tell me its reg and owner please?

Thanks

Feeding data to FR24 through RTL1090

I seem to be having a little difficulty with feeding data to FlightRadar24 through the RTL1090 program. I have gotten fr24feed to work while RTL1090 is closed, and I have gotten RTL1090 to work while fr24feed is closed. The problem is that the programs do not share the data from my NESDR Mini USB dongle. I very much prefer the information view on the RTL1090 interface, but I want to sync the data to FR24.

I have attempted to follow the instructions for how to set up the DVB-T stick as an ADS-B receiver, as per the FlightRadar24 setup page. (flightradar24.com/dvbt-stick)
However, I have discovered that this is outdated, as the RTL1090 program is now in build 103. Does anyone know how to get both of these programs to play nice, or how I can upload the ADS-B data to FlightRadar through RTL1090?

Trying to Feed data into FlightRadar24 but failing.....

Hi All

I have one of those DVBT dongles (about £10) off Ebay. Installed Zadig drivers. Have witnessed it showing traffic on ADSBScope. Downloaded FR24FEED installed it correctly. Started the FR24FEED software and it runs through its sequence of events then it simply 'PING's something....? I've seen it PING upto 60 times before i give up and turn it off. What can i be doing wrong? RTL1090 works as i can see it finding data.

Thanks

Masthead Amplifier

Hi All,

I'm currently using a Dongle, 5db Collinear and RPi and my current receiving radius is between 250mi and 300mi depending on weather and wish to increase my receiving strength by using a Masthead Amp.

Can any Masthead Amp be used, such as a Tv Pre-Amp or does it have to be 1090MHz specific?

Thanks.

Missing aircraft info

I noticed several times that some info is missing in the aircraft box on the left hand side (e.g. ICAO address, call sign).

Take for example this one (see attachment 1):

Aircraft(C56X)
Cessna 560XL Citation Excel
Altitude: 41,000 ft
Vertical Speed: 0 fpm
Speed: 464 kt
Track: 132°
Latitude: 49.6489
Longitude: 7.2067
Radar: T-ETAR2
Squawk: 3136

Dump1090 provides the required information:

*a8001e252038a179c75360cb2fc6;
CRC: 491316 (ok)
DF 21: Comm-B, Identity Reply.
Flight Status : Normal, Airborne
DR : 0
UM : 0
Squawk : 3136
ICAO Address : 491316
Comm-B BDS : 20
BDS 2,0 Aircraft Identification : NJE915M

If you try to search the FR24 aviation database for 491316 a hint is shown (see attachment 2):

CS-DXV - 491316 - Netjets Europe - Cessna 560XLS Citation Excel (560-5782)

But the search does not yield any result.

So it seems to me that all necessary information is somehow available but it isn't displayed.

Spy-in-the-sky terror threat to William: Security alert over app that lets anyone track pilot Prince's air ambulance helicopter

Prince William was at the centre of a major security alert last night after The Mail on Sunday discovered that terrorists could use a mobile phone to track his every movement in his new job as an air ambulance pilot.
Experts warned of the ‘extraordinary risk’ to the future King presented by a £2.99 app, which gives away precise details of his helicopter’s position, direction of travel, speed and altitude.
Former police officers said the information presented ‘intelligence gold’ for terrorists wishing to track the Prince’s flightpath in an attempt to shoot him down.

A Mail on Sunday team last week used the app, called flightradar24, to monitor Prince William’s progress as he flew from North Norfolk after attending a road accident.

Possible to feed using SBS-3 via USB?

After realising I can not control the onboard SDR's when connected via ethernet. I wanted to try and feed using USB.

I have tried pretty much every port that the feeder software provides, but for the life of me I can not get it to recognise my SBS-3 when connected via USB. The feeder config seems to allow for this.

Or failing that is there a way to control the SDR's when connected via Ethernet?

Is there actually a way to do this under Windows 7?

Hey guys, did a simple apt-get update and upgrade on my Raspberry pi and now I am getting this error if I try to run dump1090:

Ettus B200 for feeding?

Hey guys, my B200 is no longer doing GSM, just sitting here gathering dust. I wonder if I could use it to feed FR24 or flighaware? I am looking at the gr-air-modes right now, does anyone have experience with this? My search came up empty.

Thanks!
