Missing take off time

Hi
On Android app, in portrait view, when an aircraft is selected, Take off time is not displayed. In French it says: "Décollage il y a " but no elapsed time is displayed.

Arrival time is displayed correctly. For example "Arrivée dans 01:25".

Is there a limitation due to screen width ? Do I miss something in parameters or configuration ?

Thanks for any advice on that.

Chrome has stopped displaying aircraft in map view

Hi - Google Chrome on WIndows 7 has stopped displaying any aircraft, but Firefox on the same laptop displays aircraft correctly. I've rebooted the machine, and this has not changed things. I can't find anything in the forum, FAQs or searching to help.

Any (polite) suggestions please?

Indoor antenna in a house?

Hey there,
I want to setup a receiver to feed FR24 and I'm not quite sure what antenna I could use. I do not live in an apartment, but the roof of my house is (currently) not suitable for any kind of antenna I saw so far. I considered installing a indoor antenna in the attic but don't know wether that is a good idea...
I haven't planned on changing my whole roof nor to involve a roofer in any way, my overall budget for the project is maximal 150 - 200€.
So my question: Is it worth it to "just" put an indoor antenna into the attic or isn't it?
If it is, what antenna could I use? I saw this one some while ago: dpdproductions (dot) com/collections/aviation-base-mobile-antennas/products/ads-b-blade-indoor-antenna
(Sorry for the splitten link, I'm new... :o)
Does anyone have experience with this or maybe had exactly the same problem?
Or does anyone actually have the antenna I linked above?

I would be happy about an answer regarding my problem!

Viewing Own data when a feeder

if i build my own {or flightradar24 sends me one:) will i still be able to watch the live feed coming from my adsb reciver on flight radar24 or would i have to watch it from flightradar24 system but me helping it better. Also how much wifi does it suck, is it running 24/7 when wifi is on?

Bug in fr24feed_updater.sh script for RPi

I noticed that the script fr24feed_updater.sh that runs on the RPi every day was forcing a volume remount every time that it ran.

This is due to the following statement in it returning a permission denied:
$(mount | grep " on / " | grep rw)

The $ sign at the beginning seems wrong since it will try to "run" the output of mount, which it is not the intended behaviour.

Who would be able to fix the source script?

How Can I View Helicopters Only? And Enlarge Icons?

Hello, I am am a new subscriber and need some assistance.

1) I would like to view helicopters only. I do not want to see any fixed wing aircraft at all. I did not see a setting or a filter to do this. Can this be done? If so, how?

2) How can I enlarge the icon of the helicopters on the map

Using an Android device to run FR24 feed

Hi everyone,

is there a FR24 feed software for android, or another option for sharing data over an android device.
That would be a great, low budget, low power consumption solution for my FR24 receiver.

Данные параллельно идут на сайт RadarBox24, если Flightradar24 перестанет принимать данные моего приёмника, на сайт RadarBox они всё-таки будут поступать.

Wrong config gets generated if dump1090-fr is installed

I have fresh installation of PiAware. After installing fr24feed with autocinfiguration I was left with non-functioning fr24feed. Configuration generated was:

Sorry, I didn't find proper thread to post my question. Previously on this forum was a section with Airlines Database but now it is not presented so I decided to post here.

FR24 could you please fix Qazaq Air airline's ICAO and IATA to QAZ/IQ. Currently in your database it is ZXZ/- which is not correct.

FR24 - adding Flightaware data feed doesn't work

OK - so I've got my FR24 image running fine on a RPi (just waiting to install a better - outdoor - antenna). And I have a separate SD card with Piaware image which also works as it should. I would like to feed both FR24 and Flightaware simultaneously so I have added the Piaware feed package to FR24 - but I'm at a loss to get it to run. How do I do this?

Running updates/upgrades

Hi

Totally new to this so still finding my feet.

I started with clean OS install, sorted dump1090-mut and got FR24 feed up and running.

Yesterday/today I've built a 4 legged spider antenna to increase my range and have installed feeders for FA, Ads-b exchange and plan to add Planefinder when my account is varified.

The one thing I'm concerned about is updates, will I be safe running sudo apt-get update/sudo apt-get dist-upgrade as I like to keep current or do I run the risk of screwing with the feeders.

It took quite a while to get things right so I don't want to ruin it straight away.

Read only files?

Hello,

New to the pi and FR24 but have everything running quite well. I have a basic question and possibly problem though, is it normal for the file system to be "read only" to me even when using sudo? Have searched the forum but found nothing to speak of that talks about this.

Files are read only in the system such as /etc and /var for example but also in home/pi stopping me creating directors or files which seems to indicate a fault. As I said though, the system is running very well otherwise.

Linux 53nm and Pi zero 30nm and no lat/long - why?

I migrated from Windows and have fr24feed installed on a Pi Zero and on Linux Mint (debian) on the previously Windows laptop. Both dump1090-mutability. The Pi zero has adequate power (2.2A). I was very careful to ensure the position of the aerial, RTL dongle, etc remained identical in my testing. Obviously I don't have both running at once as I only have one dongle!

I have now run both setups for a week each and the Laptop with Mint consistently manages a range of 53nm on the feed-stats (same as Windows did). The Pi zero only 30nm. I should explain that I have hills and mountains around me so that's the extent of my "view". I know where the Windows, now Mint, feed picks up planes at cruising altitudes so I can see what the Pi isn't getting looking at the FR24.com map. I have --gain 48 in the process arguments of both as per Oblivion's "DVBT Feeder Gain Adjustment - WIP" post.

Looking at the tracked aircraft on the local:8754 page it seems the Pi isn't picking up the lat and long where the laptop is. Just says "N/A". All the other details are there - ModeS, Altitude, Squawk, even Callsign. If it is receiving the lat/long it certainly isn't displaying it. This applies to major commercial aircraft not business jets etc. So presumably the incompleteness of the data is why my range is down on the stats. And even though the gain is set I can't see why it'd be that anyway - if the Pi's gain were too low it wouldn't pick up anything surely?

I'm flummoxed! Any ideas please?
