Running the feeder and dump1090 simultaneously

Hi,

i was wondering if one can run the feeder and dump1090 simultaneously on a linux host. I have a Raspi feeding the data, and would like to have my own web frontend where i can see the raw data and the map with "my" tracked aircrafts...however, starting dump1090 after starting the feeder results in a "device busy" error.
I suppose, here are some feeders with a working setup, so please, give me advice.

New ADS-B Receiver Installed, Appreciate comments on reception

I have installed a ADS-B receiver (DVB-T Stick only), appreciate to receive comments on the reception quality (please refer to attached screenshot from RTL1090.

My Antenna location: 25°10'32.8"N 51°27'53.2"E (25.175777, 51.464789)

Nearest Airport : Doha Hamad International Airport, Location 25°15'54.4"N 51°36'50.4"E (25.265107, 51.613999)

shall I have entitled to get Premium account based on the reception?

Incorrect data being displayed and visibility filter issues with KDTW data....

When visibility for traffic around KDTW is set to ADS-B only why are some T-xxxxx feeders forcing MLAT aircraft to be displayed using their radar ident on my ADS-B only visibility setting?
Not only is suspicious activity but its ruining local coverage here!!!!

Inaccurate info is coming from these feeders...

Radar Site Codes

Hi Everyone,

I am familiar with the Radar Site Codes: "F" and "T" but viewing aircraft at YMMB (Moorabbin) Victoria, I noticed the aircraft departing are showing a radar Site: RX-RC012, can anyone advise what the RX-RC012 stands for?

Antenna moved outside, astonished with results

Just had the ariel man man round with his ladders to mount my active antenna on a pole at the side of the house. I connected it back to my SBS-3 and am completely astonished with the results.

Bear in mind it was previously in the loft and I was getting solid reads out to about 120 miles to the north and barely 50 to the east and virtually nothing to the south and west. as soon as I plugged it in I saw signals over Belgium to the east, Newcastle to the North, Wales to the west and the English Channel to the south. I was seeing about 60 A/C before and now seeing 140+.

All I can say is 'high and in the open' certainly gives superb results.

I am after the EK B777 registrations for the EK658 DXB to MLE dep 04.20 (Dubai time) on 1st August and EK659 MLE to DXB Departing 11.00 Male time on 8th August

I think they may EBK and EMV but would like this confirmed

Showing the TMA boarding procedure and flight to Veligandu Island Resort & Spa in the North Ari Atoll, Maldives, flown by the barefootpilots of TMA.

The journey commences at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (VRMM) where a TMA bus takes you from the TMA Seaplane check in counter in the international terminal to the Seaplane Terminal on the other side of the airport.

Waiting for your flight in the resort lounge, you are greeted by a host and served with snacks and beverages until you are taken to your seaplane. The North Ari Atoll is a short 15 minute flight in a DHC-6-300 Twin Otter Seaplane.

Once you arrive at the resort you are served a cool refreshing coconut to drink and offered a delicious buffet breakfast before checking into your room.

Is anyone else following Aircraft SE-AMO? He is supposed to be on FlightRadar24 but last I see is landing at Copenhagen EKCH, however he is now in Austria.
Any new information would be nice.

I have a one year old Ettus B200 that works perfect. I made a plexi glass case, also have an external GPSDO that I will include. I would like to find a radar cape with, or without a Beagle Bone, to trade for it.

Internet upload bandwidth requirement for feeders

I can't find any indication of the amount of data an FR24 receiver needs to upload to flightradar24 per second. The only relevant fact I can find is "Frame rate: over 1600 Mode-S frames per second (in high traffic areas)" but I presume this refers to frames received rather than data uploaded. I wondered if FR24 firmware zips or otherwise compresses the data before uploading.

Anyone contemplating hosting a feeder receiver surely wants to know how much of their possibly limited internet upload bandwidth will be taken by the FR24.

Clearly, this depends where the receiver is, but some guidelines please.

duplicate planes on webpage

Hi,

I live in the San Francisco bay area and it seems that often the same plane is displayed twice by two different "radars". Attached is an example. There are better examples with planes on top of each other at the same altitude with exact speed and direction. Lately I see these kind of duplicates every time I load the website.

Is there anyway to tune out the false returns?
Another thing I've noticed is that data from different radars are often out of synch with each other on real time position. Two different planes landing at SFO at the same time is an example.

Hi all, I am a total novice and literally only just joined the Forum.
I have FlightRadar24 installed on my IPad Air and find it fascinating, but felt that it would be even more interesting if I could hear the conversations going on etc.
I live on one of the approach/departure routes into Manchester (near Congleton in Cheshire) about 25 miles from the airport and often sit in the garden 'wondering' at the many overhead aircraft 'comings and goings' .

I would like to be able to hear both Manchester Airport and Aircraft conversations etc. but don't have a clue as to what to 'research' that would be suitable for this at my location.
I don't mind paying a reasonable price for somthing that fulfills the requirements, with the hope it is not too complicated to set up and use.

I have spent a few hours this afternoon reading various forums and 'advice' and am more confused what to go for now than before I started, so any tips, advice, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Feed not working after Win 10 upgrade and loading of latest fr24feed application

Zadig drivers have been reloaded following removal by Win 10 upgrade.
